SCHOOLS OF EXCELLENCE APPLICATION EXAMPLES

The application process for Schools of Excellence is a fun reflection opportunity for you and your students! Presentation is important for not only the application, but also a great way to accurately showcase the outstanding work you and your school did throughout the year.

Represent your school's year of service with either a scrapbook, portfolio, binder, poster board or video. It's up to you, the limit is your imagination! Click here for tips on completing the written portion of the application.

Questions? Contact Kathlenn Lynch at klynch@commoncents.org or 212-579-0579 ext. 117.

Here are some examples of previous Schools of Excellence applications:

Though most teachers opt for a binder, you can make a scrapbook, or any other things that will best reflect all the hard work you and your students do! Application submitted by PS/MS 156 Queens, 08/09 School of Excellence

Pictures are key! We love seeing pictures of:

  • Students in action
  • Posters made by students
  • Reflections
  • Community service
  • Check Award Ceremonies
  • Roundtable meetings

And so much more!
