IT’S A WHOLE NEW WWW.COMMONCENTS.ORG (OR WWW.PENNYHARVEST.ORG)!

October 17, 2006

Welcome! If you are reading this, you are looking at our brand new website, a work-in-progress due to make its official debut in just a few weeks. Please be patient while we add and update daily.

With this new site, we hope to create a virtual town square, a bright and lively mix of education, news and entertainment for our large circle of friends - teachers, principals, youth development advocates, corporate sponsors, foundation and individual donors, service-learning leaders, elected officials, school sponsors, parents and most importantly, America’s youngest citizens.

For most visitors, the greatest enhancement with this site will be the fully-functional and well-appointed homes for each of our major affiliates: New York City, The Capital Region, NY, and Seattle. We will provide separate, detailed instructions and news for teachers, schools, families and students, and all of it will be anchored by that city’s own home page.

New features will also include quick and easy ways to sign-up for our email list and make donations; polls, factoids and commentaries to compliment the regular news; and an animated counter to help us keep track of those mounting pennies!

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at webmanager@CommonCents.org
